Amie Rodnick received her B.A. with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975 and her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1978. UT - Austin is considered one of the nation’s top 15 research universities, and the law school is one of the most selective. She passed the bar exam the first time and worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the administration of Mark White. She has been in private practice since 1984 and has exclusively practiced family law for most of that time. Ms. Rodnick has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1990. Ms. Rodnick has served as chair of the family law section of the Austin Bar Association, panel chair on the State Bar of Texas grievance committee, and has taught numerous seminars on collaborative law, mediation, and issues of interest to all family lawyers. She is president of Central Texas Collaborative Family Lawyers; she is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, a charter member of Collaborative Law Institute of Texas, and a senior Fellow with the Texas College of Collaborative Law. She is a regular attendee at the Collaborative Master Class seminars and has spoken to legal and community groups about collaborative law. Ms. Rodnick is married and has two adult children. Her interests include travel, photography, sailing and downhill skiing.

        Paula Spears has worked as a legal assistant for the past 25 years, seventeen of them at the Law Office of Amie Rodnick. She is an Air Force veteran and has three children and two grandchildren. Her interests include making jewelry and travel to any place with great beaches.
